News from last weekend (Oct. 1/2)
I have some updated garage photos, but the great news is that the 1st floor tenant (who we were evicting) is GONE!! After much confusion over the movers (she claimed she called them, I called and they said she never made an appointment), I rented a U-haul truck and sounded the alarm to help move her out. Mom, Dad, Ami, Caroline, Katie, Christine, and even Anika helped out with the move. It was a glorious Sunday!
Once the lady was out, we picked up a swanky new fridge (she took her old one) and started ripping up all of the carpets and making it at least slightly livable. Tommy showed up to help as well. Caroline did a good job making sure that it was at least a decent place to sleep. It still smelled a little funny, but we got ALL of the carpet out in one night!
Only one days worth of progress on the garage, but getting the lady out was worth it. We now have a place to go to the bathroom when we are working on the garage!!
