Research paper published!

For the last 4 years or so I have been working on building a computational model that will allow me to simulate (in the computer) the metabolism of C. beijerinckii (a bacteria that produces butanol). Being able to look at how it's metabolism works on my computer will help me predict how to genetically engineer it to produce more butanol, and make this important chemical and potential biofuel produceable from biological materials (e.g., switchgrass) in an economically sound way.

This paper was just published in the peer reviewed journal BMC Systems Biology! More exciting is that it is listed as one of their top 10 highly accessed paper over the past 30 days. This means that, in the last 30 days, my paper has had a lot of viewers! If you are interested, you can read the paper here: http://www.biomedcentral.com/content/pdf/1752-0509-5-130.pdf
