After getting a few quotes to have the floor poured, Dad and I (mostly me) decided that the economics were such that it made sense for us to pour the floor.
Dad was awesome and set all of the elevations for the floor on Friday when I was at Columbia recruiting for Stroud. We ended up working until 1 AM, which was a little cold. Mom was down and helping as well. My new laser level made things reasonably straightforward, though it was knocked out of level easily on the dirt.
The plans only called for a 4" slab with no reinforcement, but we decided that it was probably better to at least use mesh. I put some rebar in where the lift is going just to make sure I didn't have any problems later on. Matt Harwood (a guy from work) was really helpful with the pour. He has been helping a lot on the garage, and it looks like we are going to pick up an rx8 with a blown engine that he is interested in buying as the first garage project.
The pour came out really well! Dad was worried after not doing one after a few years, but I think it came out incredibly well.

| Dad took all of the scaffolding home |
| We also unclogged the sewer vent. No more glug glug from the toilet when the washer is draining! |
